Sunny, er rainy Spain

The rain in Spain is mainly under foot. Apparently there was a big storm in Sitges the day before I arrived causing some streets to shut down. I had to argue with the taxi driver, after an exhausting flight with maybe 4 hours of sleep. He wouldn´t take me to my hotel because he claimed the road was closed. It was 10 blocks away. Í sure am glad I packed lighter this time. Anyway, the road had reopenned but there was mud everywhere and running streams in some of the streets. Maybe I should have gotten a new pair of waterproof shoes. But somehow I remained dry.

The first night of Ursus Planet A La Playa was fun indeed. Although I paid 125 Euros for the privilege, which was most of the money with me because the ATM at the airport wouldn´t give me 300 Euros and I had to settle for 150. When I got to Sitges I tried another ATM which refused every request, what the hell is going on. I had to call my bank and get them to up the limit which they could only do for 1 hour. So I´m stuck with a 240 Euro limit per day which actually will work. But every time i use the ATM I get dinged for the privledge.

Stopped briefly for a bite after the coctail party at El Cid with Manu, my roommate who was extremely helpful and escorted me around town to find things. Even though he speaks no English and I no Spanish, we have gotten on quite well. He is Mikel´s friend, the one I´m visiting in Bilbao next weekend.

We went on the tour of the gay bars and there are so many here. They are all catering especially to the bears this weekend. I met some very guapo men (that´s handsome to you home gamers). Including Tony Dias who is visiting from Philadelphia. I spent the better part of the night with Tony. His parents are Portuguese, love those dark bearded men!!

After a couple hours lip-locking Tony and following him into the ever-present side dark rooms that accompany most of the bars in Spain, we had a little almost private play time in one. Then on to the next bar. Got cruised pretty heavily, quite fun. A good number like ´maduros´(that´s ´mature´for you home gamers). So I was in heaven. I do miss my honey very much, and [info]fuzzygruf´s picture came out alot. Manu showed me his boyfriend, a knockout!! We both are lucky in love!

Finally stumbled home at 5:30 AM with Jose in hand from Madrid. But we were both to inebriated to make a go of it. So I fell asleep immediately after he left. Manu claimed I was snoring but it didn´t bother him.

Day 2 in Sitges

Woke up with a gigantic hang-over, ay ay ay carumba! ate the rest of the emergency cheese I brought with me, it came in handy. Decided to forego the beach although it is absolutely gorgeous today and about 85 degrees F. Not a cloud in the sky and windless.

oh, I forgot to mention that I had dinner with the very sexy Tim at Atlanta airport on my way to Sitges.

Tonight is the dinner at 8:00 PM, so they probably won´t eat until 9:00. I´ll probably be adjusted to the time difference by then. I take a siesta for about 2 hours in the afternoon. Then I´m ready to party.
Hasta Luego, more later.

Re: Tony Dias

WOW!

I don't think I've ever seen you on here before - what a cutie!

And [info]gorkabear just seems like a doll, too!

I've never been able to meet [info]iberianbear in person whilst in San Francisco, but I have enjoyed chatting with him.

So... do you have any of these oficiales fotografias?

Fotos

I took probably 150 shots over the four-day period. I need to process them through Photoshop before I post them.

During the mid-nineties Tony Dias visited my second home (at the time) in Truckee, CA for one of my Donner Parties. [info]sinnabor was there too. Small world!

I met [info]gorkabear the first time I came to España in the spring of 2001. And I've known [info]double_ohsteven for ten years.

Re: Tony Dias

Hmm, my ears are burning. Anyway, this is Tony Dias, I know all of you and you all know eachother.

I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together - as the song goes.

Glad you made it safely. I've only been to Spain once in '79, and I wish I could go back after knowing more about the history
